I am taking the plunge. Going all in. I am starting this blog. Now.
Why?
Because I must.
I want to.
I dare to.
Imperfectly.
Wholeheartedly.
Now is the time.

After years stuck in slumber, holding on to dying dreams and slowly becoming someone I could neither recognize nor wanted to become, I woke up.

I realized my life no longer reflected my ideals. I was sleepwalking through my life.

It was time to wake up.
And then I fell asleep.
Again.
Vowing it would never happen again, I was shocked to find myself startled awake.
Again.
Dozing off. Startled awake. Nodding off.
Startled awake. Again.
Years pass. Same cycle.

I was bleeding and slowly being robbed of my ideals…

With each cycle, I leaked some… Authenticity, Joy, Creativity, Integrity, Excellence, Adventure, Service, Love, Gratitude, Reverence, Compassion, Connection, Positivity, Faith, Learning, Contentment, Enthusiasm, Perseverance, Idealism, Friendliness, Passion, Generosity, Hospitality…

I was slowly losing myself…

Each time with increasingly graver consequences.

But.

The last time was different.

Startled awake, I reached Up and asked why.

I gained insight, reached in and made different choices.

Then I reached out.

This was new.

No man is an island.
I am learning that Isolation and silence perpetuate dysfunction.

It is not enough to wake up. So, I choose to reach out to other awakened ones and build a tribe with intention of growing into our ideals and inspiring one another to live our true calling.

Sleep is inevitable and necessary for renewal and rejuvenation. But I don’t want to sleepwalk through my life. I want to be awake when I need to be.

Awakened kindred will lovingly nudge you if you unintentionally doze off.

I am awake. And I am choosing to stay awake when I want to be.
Daily.
Moment by moment.

Right now.

How?

By staying connected.

It is my intention that by living my ideals, sharing my life and the lessons I am learning, daring greatly to be open and vulnerable, sometimes silly, sometimes deep, just being my true self, you will be inspired to live your ideals.

You deserve to live your calling. I hope I can help you remember your truth and encourage you to live it fully and wholeheartedly.

This is a safe, positive, courageous, open and nurturing space to grow into our ideals together so that life will not rob us of them.
